Dataw Academy was designed to educate and inform members about how our island works. It grew from a need for a qualified pipeline of members to serve in leadership roles at the Board and Committee level. This weeklong program "sells out" each semester, and involves presentations and tours from 20+ key staff and member volunteers. I organize, schedule, promote, coach the chairs, and run logistics, as well as provide handouts, presentation support, namebadges, reception support, and I act as a presenter for segments on Marketing, Communications, graduation quiz, and stand right-hand to the General Manager as we co-present his segment. Follow-up satisfaction surveys and continued demand prove members love and covet this opportunity.
